There is so much misinformation out there regarding the travel advising industry.

• It’s too expensive to hire a travel advisor”

• “I can plan the same trip faster by myself”

• “I can find the same perks on my own”

  Many people don’t realize how much the travel industry has evolved over the last few years! People are traveling at RECORD levels. Much of the information available online is outdated or conflicting, and often properties are fully booked by the time you make a decision.
  Working with a travel advisor is a deeply personal decision. You are trusting them with a lot of money to plan a trip you may have been waiting your whole life to take.

Sure, you can hop on ChatGPT and get an itinerary in seconds. The same generic one that your friend would get. Or your co-worker.

As travel professionals, we are constantly researching and learning about new trends and options within the travel market. We talk to destination partners and fellow travel industry colleagues to stay on top of the latest and greatest offerings. We know the hotel managers. We have local contacts on the ground in these destinations who are experts in their respective countries and cities.

We make the human connections and add the human touch that a computer system could never replicate!

BOOKING WITH A TRAVEL ADVISOR IS EXPENSIVE AND TIME-CONSUMING.

Does researching an entire trip, spending hours sorting through reviews and articles online, then booking your own accommodations, dining, transportation, excursions, and tour guides really sound all that easy?

It can take over 10-20 hours to plan a full itinerary! Travel advisors spend the time learning your travel preferences, researching the destination, and then curating the perfect itinerary for you.

Ultimately, working with an advisor will save you an incredible amount of time AND stress. While we aren't a discount service (though we will always keep an eye out for good deals), we do remove the element of uncertainty and always ensure a high standard of quality when planning your vacation!

TRAVEL ADVISORS ARE IRRELEVANT SINCE EVERYTHING IS USER-FRIENDLY AND EASY TO DIY.

CLIENTS HAVE LITTLE TO NO CONTROL OVER THEIR TRIP.

If you have a specific vision in mind, it is my job to bring that vision to life! The level of how much you would like to be involved with your vacation planning is completely up to you.

Plus, you always have the option to edit your proposal before we confirm the booking. Don't be afraid to speak up if something is not to your liking. The more involved you are with the process, the more I will get to know you and be able to perfect the details of your trip!

TRAVEL ADVISORS ONLY BOOK CERTAIN HOTELS BECAUSE THEY'LL GET PAID MORE.

This is an extremely common misconception! My host agency is partnered with some of the leading hotel groups in the world. Through these partnerships, I can secure added perks such as room upgrades, free breakfast, late check-out, etc.

While yes, we generally only book properties that pay us commission; it is not at the expense of your budget! These partners offer a variety of options ranging from five star luxury to small boutique properties. They have been thoroughly vetted by long standing consortiums and travel professionals, and offer us much more control in the event that anything goes wrong with your reservation.

TALKING TO A TRAVEL ADVISOR IS SIMILAR TO SPEAKING WITH A SALESPERSON.

Ouch! So not true!

I'm not here to take your money and run. I enjoy building long-term partnerships and friendships with my clients! Nothing brings me more joy than watching a vacation go from dream to reality, and being able to follow along on your travels. Travel is an investment, and just as you would want to hire a financial advisor to handle your retirement funds, you should also trust a travel advisor to transform your travel experience!
